Meet The Designer: Renowned Glass Designer To Host Signing Event
Windsor, VT (Vocus) May 8, 2009 -- Simon Pearce, designer of the high-end hand blown glass that carries his name, will make his first local appearance when he visits the Simon Pearce retail store located at 27 Palmer Square West in Princeton (http://simonpearce.com/DispStoreDetails.aspx?mode=SmnPrc&StoreID=218), New Jersey, on Friday, May 29, from Noon-4pm.
Throughout the years, Simon has been hosting signing events to greet and thank customers for their continued support. These events have grown in popularity and are a must amongst followers. This occasion will also provide an opportunity to highlight the store's new management and retail team.
"This signing event will be a wonderful opportunity for Simon to meet Princeton customers and for our new retail team to introduce themselves," states Mayta Pinard, Public Relations Manager at Simon Pearce. During the event, guests will have the opportunity to converse with Simon and have their favorite Simon Pearce pieces signed by the designer himself.
After moving his glassblowing workshop and retail store from Ireland to a restored woolen mill in Quechee, Vermont, in 1981, the visionary artisan's flagship location is now a highly popular destination, powered by the hydroelectric turbine in the river below. Simon Pearce's original designs in hand blown glass and handmade pottery are produced in the company's Vermont and Maryland facilities. In addition to being carried at luxury stores coast-to-coast, Simon Pearce operates 10 of its own retail locations, as well as two award-winning restaurants in Quechee, Vermont, and West Chester, Pennsylvania.
For those unable to attend, the Simon Pearce retail team will take advance orders for items to be signed during Simon's appearance. For more information, call the Simon Pearce Princeton store at 609.279.0444, or visit SimonPearce.com (http://simonpearce.com/).
